About Me

As a student, my strengths are that I am generally quite good at reading and writing, and I usually get stuff done on time. My weaknesses are that I am easily distracted and I find it hard to focus on things for long periods of time. The mark that I hope to get in this class is in the high 80 range. In previous years, I have gotten 84% (grade 9) and 93% (grade 10). Some things I liked about English classes in other years were that the reading material was not too difficult and most of it was straightforward and involved creative thinking. What I did not like was the extensive grammar exercises that we did (especially in grade 9 with Mr. Salter) and I find it difficult to find those "deeper meanings".
As a person, I like to spend my time outside of school playing piano, going to the gym, and hanging out with a few close friends. In the future I hope to become a dietician right now, or something of the sort, although my strengths are not generally in the sciences. I will work on that however. I have a job at Zehrs in the health food department which is not a very demanding job, and I sometimes enjoy doing nothing.

This is a video of Clair De Lune by Debussy, a piano song that I play and enjoy.

As a composite, some things I enjoy in terms of products are health&beauty supplies, wow stuff, and clothing from brand name stores like Hollister and TNA. Bands/artists that I like include Muse, Tool, U2, Chris Daughtry, Dashboard Confessional, etc. I like these bands because they are kind of rock but also can be quite catchy or meaningful, and I prefer men singers. Shows that I like include Pretty Little Liars, Modern Family, and Parks and Recreation, because I like the aspects of mystery and comedy in them. Books that I enjoy include Graceling, City of Bones, Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, etc. I like the fantasy genre because I like how the stories are surreal but also you can imagine yourself in the story and its characters are always dynamic and heroic. Also, fantasy stories usually end the way that you want them to, which is an important part of an enjoyable book for me.

  1. This is also very good, with a great writing style for the most part, a good sense of you as a person, and as a student. A few minor quibbles of grammar, which I could point out later, and maybe think about a better use of paragraphs.
